Mila Kunis Stalker Arrested

Stuart Dunn, 27, was recently detained on suspicion of stalking Mila Kunis, more than three months after he was arrested for allegedly breaking into her home in January 2012.

Police found Dunn at the gym where he visited three days in a row to try and make contact with Kunis.

The man was ordered to attend a hearing on Saturday May 5, 2012, a day after he was arrested at the gym, but was absent. His probation was revoked and a bench warrant was issued, with bail set at $40,000. He is next set to appear in court on June 7.

Man Arrested on College Campus Due To No Bail Warrant

Lakers' Hill Charged and Faces Arrest Warrant

Jordan Hill, the forward for the Los Angeles Lakers, faces a felony assault charge stemming from events occurring on February 29, 2012.

Hill is being charged with allegedly choking and shoving Darlene Luna, 28, at his apartment in Houston. Hill and Luna were dating for two years according to a statement made by Luna.

Hill will have to make an appearance in Houston to face the charge of third-degree felony for assault on a family member by choking.

Hill is facing imprisonment of two to ten years and a $10,000 fine.

After all the paperwork is complete, a warrant for his arrest will be issued.

Two arrest warrants have been issued for Ryan Leaf, the former NFL quarterback for being a fugitive for charges stemming from obtaining controlled substance by fraud.

Joseph Knauss who has been charged with attempted murder, did not show up for his trial in Lehigh County Court on Monday, April 16.

Knauss was charged in the hit-and-run of a man in an Embassy Bank parking lot. He was scheduled to stand trial Monday, April 16, but he did not show up.

The judge issued a bench warrant for Joseph R. Knauss, 26, who is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person. Steinberg also revoked Knauss's $50,000 bail.

Oscar E. Aguilera from North Hollywood walked up to the Otay Mesa border crossing in San Diego about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday April 4, 2012 and presented his California driver's license to border patrol officers.

After running his fingerprints to confirm his identity officers discovered that Aguilera had an arrest warrant issued in his name for suspicion of murder.

Aguilera was arrested on the spot and was turned over to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Glenn Horlacher, 53, faces charges of assault and battery from events that occurred February 18, 2012.

Horlacher got into a scuffle with the security guards at Disney California Adventure and was pepper sprayed as a result.

There is a video that shows Horlacher acting out. The other visitors had to help hold him down until the police arrived and arrested him.

Man Decides to Skip Sentecing Hearing on Pot Charges

Michael Geesen, 38, failed to show up in court for his scheduled sentencing on Monday March 19, 2012 which was originally suppose to take place on January 17^th.

Geesen had pled guilty on November 29, 2011 to possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver.

He was arrested on drug trafficking charges after he was found with seven pounds of marijuana and numerous plastic baggies in his van after a traffic stop in June.

Geesen told police the drugs belonged to a friend who owned a medical marijuana co-op in California.

Judge Randy Stoker revoked any bond previously paid in the case and ordered a $100,000 bench warrant for Geesen.

The state will recommend two to 10 years in prison and retained jurisdiction, along with 100 hours of community service if probation is granted.

Man Arrested on Arrest Warrant for Allegedly Stabbing His Girlfriend in the Face

Authorities have been pursuing an Arizona man for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend in the face and then fleeing to California.

An arrest warrant for attempted homicide was issued Friday March 9, 2012 for Julian Cruz Molina Jr., the same day as the incident.

The 22 year old woman called the police on Friday morning and said that her boyfriend threw a rock through her window and was trying to get into her home.

Molina was able to enter her apartment and stabbed her repeatedly in the face with a kitchen knife. She remains in stable. Their two kids, a 2-year-old and an infant, were sleeping.

Molina allegedly fled the apartment on foot and it was later learned that he had gone to Needles, California. Saturday night, San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies took Molina into custody inside a motel room.

He is awaiting extradition to Arizona.

CHP Officer Arrested on Arrest Warrant

Veteran highway patrolman Gerald Roland Harris, 44, was arrested on charges resulting from a search of his house that turned up explosive devices, assault weapons and methadone.

Harris turned himself into the Shasta County jail after an arrest warrant was issued charging him with 11 felony counts of possessing assault weapons, one felony count of possession of methadone, one misdemeanor count of embezzlement and one felony count for possession of explosives.

There were also thousands of driver licenses found that Harris allegedly took from drivers he has pulled over. The theft of the driver licenses will likely result in embezzlement charges.

Officers also found 10 rifles and a hand gun that violated the state assault weapons ban.

Harris has been a CHP officer for 21 years and has been assigned to the Redding CHP office since 2003.

Bail was set at $100,000.

If convicted of all charges, Harris faces up to nine years in county jail.

What is a Bench Warrant ?

When someone fails to meet the terms of a court order or requirement, the judge typically issues a bench warrant.

A bench warrant is a type of arrest warrant which gives law enforcement the authority to pick up the person the bench warrant is issued for and bring them to court to address the charges underlying the bench warrant.

Bench warrants are issued as a result of contempt of court, such as failing to appear when required. The penalties for contempt can be severe and that is why it is good to avoid it all together.

To file a bench warrant, the judge must have some sort of personal knowledge of the contempt that occurred. If there is no personal knowledge by the judge, then he or she must wait for someone to file an affidavit requesting the bench warrant.

The difference between a bench warrant and a more general arrest warrant is that an arrest warrant is issued when law enforcement reasonably believes that someone has been involved in a crime. The arrest warrant gives law enforcement authority to arrest that person so that they can be indicted and tried.

Bench Warrant Issued on Real Estate Agent

Erica Burdg, 61, of Modesto, a real estate agent accused of swindling a Newman family has been arrested in Oregon after a Stanislaus County Superior Court judge issued a bench warrant when she failed to attend hearings in her criminal case.

Burdg has been charged with grand theft, forgery and attempted perjury.

Over 10 years ago, she allegedly took money from Carlos Gonzales, who believed he was buying a three-bedroom, two-bathroom house in Newman.

Burdg was listed in custody at the Washington County Jail in Oregon. She was arrested on January 30, 2012 as a fugitive from another state.

After Burdg failed to appear the judge issued a bench warrant for her arrest December 27, 2011.

Burdg failure to appear was apparently due to an illness she was in the hospital for.

The judge has refused to recall the bench warrant, saying the defendant was not hospitalized when she missed the previous hearings.

Burdg is awaiting her second trial in the criminal case after her first trial ended with a hung jury in August 2011.

Bench Warrant Issued For Man Who Failed To Appear For Arraignment

A bench warrant was issued for a Fostoria man Monday after he failed to appear for an arraignment hearing in Fostoria Municipal Court.

James L. Foster, 34, was scheduled for a 10 a.m. hearing on January 8, 2012 for charges of resisting arrest, a second-degree misdemeanor, and failure to disclose personal information, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.

When Foster failed to appear, a bench warrant was issued for his arrest on Monday February 6, 2012.

Foster is also being required by the Fostoria Police Department on drug-related charges after a drug raid revealed a substantial amount of cocaine, two semi-automatic pistols, drug paraphernalia and criminal tools in his home.

These charges are currently pending.

Bench Warrant Issued For Man Who Failed To Appear For Trial

Ronnie Lee Shaw, 43, was accused and arrested for shooting a man three times back in June 2010. Shaw is facing charges of attempted murder of William Ettison.

Shaw allegedly shot Ettison as Ettison was arguing with Shaw's daughter. Three shots were fired which hit Ettison in the stomach, his right leg, and his right arm.

Trial was to commence January 23, 2012.

A bench warrant was issued for Shaw when he failed to appear for the start of his trial on Monday January 23, 2012.

There is also an arrest warrant out for Shaw as a result of him intimidating witness Ettison by making threatening statements earlier this month.
